Moore & Sons Contracting Inc. closed out 2025 with a milestone year defined by scale, precision, and execution. Over the course of the year, the company successfully constructed various concrete structures and poured more than 2,500 cubic metres of concrete across a wide-ranging portfolio of projects throughout Western Canada.

For fun, let's put some numbers behind the scale of our work.

In 2025, we poured roughly 2,500 cubic metres of concrete - that's about 250 concrete truckloads (assuming a standard 10 m³ truck). In real-world terms, that's enough concrete to build 250 average residential driveways.

In our industry, an "average driveway" is about 1,000 square feet of concrete surface. Do the math, and that means we poured enough concrete to cover 250,000 square feet in total.

To put that into perspective, a standard NHL hockey rink measures 200 feet by 85 feet, or 17,000 square feet of ice. So yes - to our own surprise - the amount of concrete we used in 2025 could cover nearly 15 full-size NHL hockey rinks.

We're impressed… and maybe just a little sore from all that pouring.

A major focus of the year was the completion of 10 large concrete water tank reservoir structures - six in British Columbia and four in Saskatchewan - alongside multiple large-scale industrial concrete builds. Each project required meticulous compliance with engineering specifications, demanding schedules, stringent safety protocols, and robust quality control measures. All requirements were consistently met or exceeded.

"Beyond our infrastructure and industrial work, our residential division maintained a strong pace throughout the year," says Don Moore, owner of Moore & Sons. "Our crews completed 40 concrete driveways, four concrete paver driveways, as well as numerous block walls, foundations, and sidewalks."

In addition to construction services, Moore & Sons also provided consulting and technical support on complex concrete structure projects, further reinforcing the depth of expertise within the organization.

This breadth of work highlights the company's ability to scale operations while maintaining consistent workmanship, attention to detail, and accountability - whether delivering major infrastructure or residential concrete structures.
