Moore & Sons has successfully completed a major commercial concrete project in Surrey, earning top marks from our client for unmatched precision.
The project involved forming the foundation for an 8,000-square-foot industrial warehouse designed to support a 24-foot-tall steel structure. Central to the design were 12 load-bearing pilasters, each embedded with 4 anchor bolts — totaling 64 — engineered to align exactly with pre-drilled holes in the prefab steel columns. There was zero margin for error. And we delivered.
"All 18 steel columns fit on the first attempt. Every anchor bolt was within a sixteenth of an inch — perfectly aligned," said Jeff Corrie, Project Foreman at Accurate Mechanical Systems. "Each point was precisely surveyed before setting the columns. Achieving this level of accuracy on a project of this scale is no small feat. Moore & Sons truly impressed us — we'd rate them 10 out of 10."
Over the past five months, the team poured approximately 70 cubic meters of concrete for the foundation and an additional 120 cubic meters for the slab. To put that in perspective: that's nearly 10 times the volume used in an average home foundation — or the equivalent of about 20 residential driveways.
"We'd be happy to work with Moore & Sons again," Corrie added. This project reinforces Moore & Sons' reputation for precision, reliability, and excellence in industrial concrete forming.
