Recently, we had the opportunity to work with the Moore & Sons crew on an industrial project for Otter Co-Op in Aldergrove, involving the construction of a concrete foundation for six new grain storage silos.
The existing silos had reached the end of their service life after approximately 60 years of use and were being replaced. With each new silo holding more than 100 metric tonnes of material, the concrete foundation was subject to strict specifications, quality standards, and testing requirements.
Mainland Machinery fabricated all of the structural steel components for the project, and it was a very positive experience working alongside Moore & Sons. Their team was professional, organized, and, most importantly, dependable.
Keeping the project on schedule was extremely important to us because our work followed theirs. Moore & Sons did an excellent job of completing each phase on time and maintaining a strict schedule. We never had to micro-manage their work, and the amount of supervision and coordination required from our side was minimal.
That level of reliability makes a big difference on an industrial project where multiple trades and contractors need to work together seamlessly. Moore & Sons delivered quality work while keeping the project moving according to schedule.
