Our team recently finished work on a new water reservoir tank base in the community of Barriere, BC. The tank is 30 feet in diameter and has a storage capacity of 200,000 gallons.
Barriere, located in the scenic North Thompson Valley, is home to about 1,800 residents. While this wasn’t a large project, it’s a meaningful piece of infrastructure that will serve the local community well.
Because winter temperatures in Barriere often fall well below freezing, insulation was an important part of the build. The original glass-fused panels were a deep navy blue, but once insulated cladding was added, the tank took on a beige finish. From a distance, the lighter color blends well with the surrounding landscape and even enhances the view against the mountains in the background.
A straightforward project, but one we’re pleased to deliver — supporting reliable infrastructure in communities across BC.
