We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from Crescent Park Elementary in Surrey — their playground just got a big upgrade, and we were lucky enough to be part of it!

Earlier this summer, we were approached by a generous local developer who offered to fund improvements to the school's outdoor space. Our team was brought in to make it happen, focusing on two major challenges:

  • Persistent drainage issues – Rainwater had been cutting through the playground perimeter, washing away gravel and eroding the soil base.
  • Lack of accessibility – The playground was difficult to navigate for students and families using wheelchairs, with only a narrow, deteriorating asphalt path in place.

To solve these problems, we installed a 6-inch PVC drain pipe connected to the existing catch basin, ensuring proper water flow and long-term stability. On top of that, we paved over 1,200 square feet of fresh asphalt—a 14-foot-wide, 90-foot-long surface that's carefully sloped and contoured for drainage while providing smooth, level wheelchair access from every side of the playground.

This project is especially meaningful to us. For more than 20 years, we've partnered with the Surrey School District, completing work at nearly all of the 130 public schools in the region. We know that school budgets are often stretched, so every cost-effective, high-quality upgrade we deliver is also an investment back into the community.

While the generous developer behind this project prefers to remain unnamed for now, we're grateful to have been chosen to bring their vision to life. A big thank-you to them—and to the Surrey School District—for trusting us with this project. Together, we've created a safer, more inclusive, and longer-lasting play space for Crescent Park Elementary students.
