2026 kicked off at a fast pace for M&S, with several projects already completed or well underway. One standout early this year was the transformation of the front entrance and walkways at this beautiful country estate in Aldergrove, BC.
The project included a textured, stamped concrete front entrance paired with a new paver pathway, both finished in a rich charcoal tone. To keep the look cohesive, we also matched the side entrance landing and pathway to the front concrete, creating a seamless flow around the home.
Previously, both pathways were made up of 2' x 2' pavers in a bold "salmon" orange. While certainly memorable, the color didn't quite align with today's modern design trends - or the overall elegance of the property. We removed the salmon-colored pavers and replaced them with charcoal 2' x 2' pavers, perfectly complementing the new textured concrete entrance and instantly elevating the home's curb appeal.
We couldn't be happier with the finished result - though our enthusiasm may be rivaled by the estate's resident cat. Clearly approving of the upgrade, the cat wasted no time claiming the new hardscape as a personal lounging, catwalking and rolling zone.
When the homeowner and the cat are happy, we consider the project a complete success.
